Humoral immunity in cardiomyopathy.

Sera from patients with heart disease were examined by single sandwich indirect immunofluorescence for the presence of antibodies to human heart muscle. Endocardial biopsy specimens were also examined by direct immunofluorescence for deposition of antibodies in vivo.
